Mark Kloud was one of the earliest producers to push the footwork jungle sound, going on to launch the Ground Mass Music label, receiving support from the pioneer Om Unit, and supporting early innovators. The Ground Mass “Year Zero” first year compilation was recently reviewed on Inflect, and is a great free (or pay what you like) compilation from 27 rising stars. His tune “Back Snap” is a beautiful piece of sound design and rhythm, with pulses of bass and synth interacting in a complex dance with a stuttering swung half time drum n bass rhythm, infectiously danceable!
Remastered and expanded version of Surly's debut EP from 2017, a surprising and masterful mix of Polish jazz and footwork. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 21, 2018
